Who do YOU sit and talk with at Rotary meetings? The weekly meeting is a special privilege of Rotary membership Rotary recommends sit and talk with DIFFERENT people EVERY week Use this simple inexpensive plan to encourage automatic participation at your club. Supplies needed: One bright color CUP for each table. (Tapered at bottom to nest and save storage space) One CARD the size of a business card for each seat. Number each CUP (example 1 thru 8) Number each CARD with the same number as each CUP. (Example: If table number 8 has 4 seats, number 4 cards with the number 8) Place a numbered CUP on each table. Change table numbers each week. Put a CARD for each seat in a stack. For big tables, put 2 or 3 of same number on top of stack so members are not sitting alone before the meeting starts. Arrange the numbers (1 to 8) to rotate foward or backward and repeat. CARD can be distributed to members and guests with the meal tickets. Say: "Please SIT at the table number on this card." "Put the card in the (color) CUP with the same number". Members who bring guests can request CARDs with same number so they can sit together. If some members choose NOT to participate, request they sit at a table without a numbered CUP. After meeting, pickup the cups and cards from each table to be used next week. Make cups and cards yourself. Or order ready to use pre numbered set of 8 cups with 12 cards for each cup. |
